Toronto Blue Jays Sign Outfielder

The Toronto Blue Jays are set to sign Kevin Kiermaier, according to Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.

Kiermaier just completed a 10-year stint with the Tampa Bay Rays, but now he is set to join an AL East rival in the Blue Jays. The veteran outfielder will be aiming to have a bounce-back season with his new club, as his 2022 campaign was a rough one. In 63 games, the 32-year-old had seven home runs, 22 RBIs, and a .228 batting average.

Kiermaier will give the Blue Jays another experienced outfielder. While playing at his best, he is a solid contact hitter that provides excellent fielding. Alas, we will have to wait and see how the change of scenery impacts the 6-foot-1 outfielder's play from here.
