MLB Rumors: San Francisco Giants Tried to Sign Outfielder

According to Mike Puma of the New York Post, the San Francisco Giants offered Brandon Nimmo a contract before he re-signed with the New York Mets.

This certainly stings for the Giants, as they notably lost out on Aaron Judge before making a big push for Nimmo. It's clear that San Francisco is willing to spend money this offseason, but they are, unfortunately, continuing to miss out on top talent.

The Giants could now focus their attention on other free-agent outfielders like Andrew Benintendi, Michael Conforto, and Joey Gallo. They also are linked to shortstop Carlos Correa, so expect a move of some kind to occur with San Francisco from here.
