San Francisco Giants Sign Veteran Pitcher

The San Francisco Giants have signed Sean Manaea to a two-year, $25 million contract. The deal also comes with an opt-out.

It was well-known that the Giants were in on Manaea, and it's clear they stepped up their efforts after missing out on several big-name free agents. Although he may not be the ace that they wanted, he will provide the top half of their rotation with a bit of a jolt.

Manaea is coming off of a down season, however, as he had an 8-9 record and 4.96 ERA with San Diego Padres. Yet, given his past success, it seems likely that a bounce-back season is in order. Let's how he performs for his third California team from here.
