MLB Rumors: Washington Nationals Linked to Starter

According to Jesse Dougherty, the Washington Nationals have had discussions with free-agent pitcher Jordan Lyles.

It has been well-known that the Nationals are looking to add to their rotation for 2023, and bringing in a pitcher like Lyles would certainly boost it. After all, the 6-foot-5 righty comes with 12 years of MLB experience.

Lyles' 2022 season with the Baltimore Orioles was also solid, as he had a 12-11 record to go along with a 4.42 ERA. This was one of his better seasons in a while, so let's see if it ends up landing him a decent contract in DC from here.
