MLB Rumors: San Francisco Giants Interested in Pitcher

This offseason has been a rough one for the San Francisco Giants, as they have missed out on Aaron Judge, Brandon Nimmo, and Koudai Senga. It is clear that they are aiming to make big moves, but they just haven't been successful yet. However, things may change on that front, as they are now pursuing free-agent pitcher Chris Bassitt, according to Susan Slusser.

Bassitt is one of the top pitchers still available on the free-agent market, so it makes sense that the Giants want to add him to their rotation. The 33-year-old starter is coming off of an excellent season with the New York Mets that saw him sport a 15-9 record and 3.42 ERA. Naturally, the Giants would love to have someone like him in the top half of their rotation because of it.

Alas, we will have to wait and see if the Giants can successfully sign Bassitt from here.
