Diamondbacks Sign Pitcher

A very intriguing signing by the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Diamondbacks have signed free agent reliever Miguel Castro to a one-year, $3.5 million contract.
According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, the deal includes incentives and an option.

This past season, Castro posted a 4.03 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, and 31 strikeouts over 29 innings of work. The twenty-seven-year-old missed the majority of the second half of the season with a shoulder strain, but was able to return for the playoffs.

The six-foot-eight pitcher is entering his ninth major league season, having spent time with the Toronto Blue Jays, Colorado Rockies, Baltimore Orioles, New York Mets and the New York Yankees.
