Chicago White Sox Sign Catcher

After being let go by the Kansas City Royals, Sebastian Rivero has found a new home in the AL Central with the Chicago White Sox.

Rivero appeared in 17 games last season with KC, where he had zero home runs, one RBI, and a .154 batting average. This was after he played in 17 contests with the Royals in 2021. The 24-year-old has yet to establish himself as a full-time MLB player, but he will be aiming to change that now that he is with Chicago.

At a minimum, Rivero will be a call-up option for the White Sox when injuries. Yet, if he impresses at Spring Training, it could be enough for him to have his contract selected for the beginning of the year.
