Angels Sign Pitcher

Bringing him back.

The Los Angeles Angels have re-signed pitcher Cesar Valdez to a minor-league contract with an invite to spring training.
Valdez elected free agency back in October but has decided to rejoin the Angels.

The thirty-seven-year-old spent the entire season in Triple-A Salt Lake, posting a 3.94 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 123 strikeouts over 146.1 innings of work. He started 23 games and held a 10-5 record.

The last time Valdez pitched in the majors was in the 2021 season with the Baltimore Orioles, where he registered a 5.87 ERA and a 1.65 WHIP across 46 innings of work.
