11-Year Veteran Signs In Japan

The 11-year veteran is headed overseas.

Outfielder Marwin Gonzalez has signed with the Orix Buffaloes of Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball.

Gonzalez spent last season as a super-utility specialist for the New York Yankees, slashing an ugly .185/.255/.321, with six home runs, 18 RBIs, three stolen bases and 20 runs scored across 85 games.

The thirty-three-year-old veteran will head to Japan after playing 11 seasons in the MLB, leaving behind a career .252/.310/.399 slash line, with 107 home runs, 415 RBIs, 44 stolen bases and 420 runs scored across 1,138 games played. He's spent time with the Houston Astros, Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox and the Yankees.
