Rockies Sign Pitcher

He gets his extension.

The Colorado Rockies and pitcher Dinelson Lamet have avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year deal.
The financials of the contract have not yet been announced.

Lamet was claimed off of waivers by the Rockies in August after he was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers and designated for assignment.

The thirty-year-old former top prospect allowed an ugly 13 earned runs over 12.1 innings with the Padres before being traded. However, after joining the Rockies, Lamet struck out 29 batters over 20 innings while posting a 4.05 ERA.

If Lamet can stay healthy, he certainly has a chance to be a solid pitcher moving forward.
