Oakland A’s Sign First Baseman

The Oakland A's have added to their depth, as they have signed Kevin Cron to a minor league contract.

Cron has spent the last two seasons overseas, but he is now ready to continue his North American career. Cron last played in the majors with the Arizona Diamondbacks back in 2020, where he went 0-for-17 in eight games. He will be aiming to turn things around if he gets called up to the A's from here.

There's no harm in a rebuilding team like the A's to take a look at Cron. In 47 career major league games, he has six home runs, 16 RBIs, and a .171 batting average.
