Nationals Sign Veteran Pitcher

He only made six appearances for the Washington Nationals this past season.

The Nationals have re-signed pitcher Sean Doolittle to a minor league contract with an invite to spring training.
Doolittle underwent an internal brace procedure back in July to repair a UCL tear in his left elbow and will compete for a spot on the Nationals' Opening Day roster this coming spring.

Doolittle was limited to just six relief appearances and five total innings this past season due to injury.

The thirty-six-year-old veteran holds a solid 3.20 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, and 522 strikeouts over 450.2 innings of work in the majors spanning 11 seasons. He's spent time with the Oakland Athletics, Nationals, Cincinnati Reds and Seattle Mariners.
