MLB Rumors: Twins To Decline First Baseman's Club Option

It looks like his time with the Minnesota Twins is finally over.

The Twins are expected to decline first baseman Miguel Sano's 2023 club option.
It's not exactly a surprise, but it's a tough blow for Sano, who's spent his entire eight-year career with the Twins.

He'll hit free agency later this week when the decision is finalized.

Sano appeared in just 20 games this past season, slashing a poor .083/.211/.133, with one home run, three RBIs, one stolen base and one run scored. For his career, the twenty-nine-year-old owns a .234/.326/.482 slash line, with 162 home runs, 418 RBIs, five stolen bases and 386 runs scored over 694 games with the Twins.

He's just a year removed from a 30-home-run 2021 campaign.
