MLB Rumors: Mariners Offering 3 Players In Trade Talks

The Seattle Mariners are getting busy on the trade market according to the latest rumors. We reported earlier about a potential deal being talked about with the Toronto Blue Jays, now the latest has them offering up three players in trade talks.

MLB Insider Jon Morosi says that the Mariners have discussed trade possibilities "with multiple teams in recent days". His sources tell him that GM Jerry Dipoto is willing to move outfielder Jesse Winker and one of the two starting pitchers Chris Flexen or Marco Gonzales. He adds that they haven't packaged Winker with one of the pitchers in the same offer, as of yet.

Winker had a vexing season in Seattle, struggling to come anywhere close to his All-Star form of 2021 after coming over in a trade with Eugenio Suarez from the Cincinnati Reds.

Gonzales, 30, has been in the Mariners rotation for the past six seasons, posting a 4.00 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP and a 57-46 record. But the M's rotation is pretty full up these days, with Luis Castillo, Robbie Ray, Logan Gilbert and George Kirby already making up the Top 4 of one of the top starting staffs in baseball.

Flexen, 28, had already been pushed out of the rotation by season's end, and is already the subject of one trade rumor
