MLB Rumors: Mariners Linked to NPB Star Outfielder

According to Jon Morosi, the Seattle Mariners will be one of the "top suitors" for NPB star outfielder Masataka Yoshida this offseason.

Yoshida is coming off of an amazing season with the Orix Buffaloes, where he had 21 home runs, 88 RBIs, and a .335 batting average in 119 games. After a year like this, it is understandable that he is getting MLB interest and once he is officially posted, expect to see a massive market form for him.

With the Mariners aiming to become legitimate contenders, it will be intriguing to see if they make a huge splash and bring in Yoshida. Time will tell what comes to fruition on that front from here.
