MLB Rumors: Dodgers Have Looked Into Acquiring Brewers Shortstop

According to MLB.com's Juan Toribio, the Los Angeles Dodgers have looked into acquiring Milwaukee Brewers' shortstop Willy Adames.

The Dodgers would still like to bring back superstar shortstop Trea Turner, but he's a free agent and reportedly would prefer to sign with an east coast team. As a result, the Dodgers are forced to look for his potential replacement.

There is no indication yet that the Brewers are willing to part with Adames, who is under team control through the 2024 season. He is also arbitration-eligible for the first time this winter, but we did just see the Brewers trade away Hunter Renfroe because they were not willing to pay his raise in arbitration.

Adames enjoyed a nice season in 2022, slashing .238/.298/.458, with 31 home runs, 98 RBIs and eight stolen bases over 139 games played.
