Dodgers Reliever Officially Undergoes Surgery; 2023 Season in Doubt

After some speculation, Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Blake Treinen has officially elected to get shoulder surgery. He is expected to be out for the next 10 months, which puts his 2023 season in jeopardy.

Treinen was limited to just five games this season due to injury, and now it is carrying over to next season. It is a shame to see, as he has been simply excellent when healthy since he arrived to the Dodgers in 2020. Now, they will be without one of their best bullpen arms for another season, and it is just horrible to hear.

Here's to hoping that Treinen can recover quicker than expected and get into some action next season. In 104 games as a Dodger, he has put together a 10-9 record and 2.45 ERA.
