Atlanta Braves Bring Back Pitcher

The Atlanta Braves have re-signed Jesse Chavez to a minor league contract. An invitation to Spring Training is also a part of the deal.

Chavez will be aiming to put together a strong Spring Training from here, as it could be enough for him to start the season as a part of the Braves' bullpen. He spent this past season split between the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Angels, and Braves, where he had a 3-3 record to go along with a 3.07 ERA.

Ultimately, there's no harm in the Braves giving Chavez this minor league contract. If he can be a factor for the Braves, it will be a win for them. If not, they can simply release him or have him as a part of their pitching depth in the minors.
