Yankees Add Three Players to ALCS Roster

The New York Yankees came back from a 2-1 series deficit to knock out the Cleveland Guardians and advance to the ALCS against the Houston Astros.

Aaron Boone and the Yankees have added three players that were not on the team's ALDS roster.
Most notably, starter Frankie Montas is on the ALCS roster.

Montas did not pitch in the ALDS because of a lingering right shoulder injury, but he's made it through a number of side sessions without issue and should be able to eat up some innings for the Yankees in their best-of-seven series against Houston. Greg Weissert has also been added to the roster.

Infielder Oswald Peraza is also on the Yankees' roster for the series.

Peraza was held off the ALDS roster, but the Yankees appear to want some more infield depth for their series against Houston. The twenty-two-year-old slashed an impressive .306/.404/.429 over his first 57 major league plate appearances this season.
