Injury Update on Yankees Infielder

Last week, it was being reported that he probably wouldn't make it back this postseason.

Now, New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu is hoping to be added to the team's ALCS roster.
LeMahieu is still experiencing pain in his right foot, but was able to take batting practice on Tuesday before the Yankees Game 5 win against the Cleveland Guardians.

The thirty-four-year-old has been dealing with a ligament issue in his right toe for several months and will attempt to play through the injury now that the Yankees have advanced to the ALCS.

In his 12th MLB season, LeMahieu slashed .261/.357/.377, with 12 home runs, 46 RBIs, four stolen bases and 74 runs scored over 125 games played during the regular season.
