Mercedes ended up getting into just 31 games with the Giants this season, slashing .233/.325/.342, with one home run, eight RBIs and a 17/9 K/BB ratio over 83 plate appearances.
The twenty-nine-year-old will likely land a minor league deal and a spring training invite somewhere this offseason.
Over three seasons in the majors, Mercedes has slashed .261/.327/.389, with eight home runs, 45 RBIs and 35 runs scored over 100 games played between the Chicago White Sox and Giants.
