Cardinals Release Pitcher

He only got a few appearances with the St. Louis Cardinals this season.

Now, the Cardinals have released pitcher Aaron Brooks.
Brooks was cut last week after posting an ugly 7.71 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and 7/2 K/BB ratio across 9.1 innings this season for the Cardinals. He made five appearances.

The thirty-two-year-old had spent the previous two seasons overseas in Korea before signing a minor league contract last offseason with St. Louis and ended up making the team's Opening Day roster.

Brooks has spent a total of five seasons in the majors, posting a career ERA of 6.55, 1.50 WHIP, and 130 strikeouts over 180 innings. He's spent time with the Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics, Baltimore Orioles and Cardinals.
