Blue Jays Outfielder Undergoes Surgery

The Toronto Blue Jays were eliminated from the playoffs on October 8. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. didn't play in a game since September 8.

On Thursday, Lourdes Gurriel Jr underwent surgery on his left wrist.
The surgery took place on Thursday with Dr. Graham in Ohio. Gurriel dealt with wrist issues apparently throughout the season, and it was determined that he should undergo the procedure instead of more rehabilitation.

Gurriel is expected to be back for the start of spring training.

The twenty-nine-year-old slashed .291/.343/.400, with five home runs, 52 RBIs, three stolen bases, and 52 runs scored over 121 games played this season.
