Video: Pujols Moves Into 4th All-Time On Home Run List

And then there were three. Three more to go till he joins the 700 Club, and only three others in baseball history with more home runs than Albert Pujols.

The legendary St. Louis Cardinal moved ahead of Alex Rodriguez today and into sole possession of 4th place on the all-time major league home run leaders list, with the 697th blast of his career.

After the game, Pujols talked about being mentioned in the same breath as Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron and Babe Ruth.

"Blessed.. honored. To be able to have my name in that sentence, what a blessing. But it's not over. I never focus on numbers, my job is to try to help this ballclub to win a championship. That's my main goal."

And as he continues to give back to the fans in this, his swan song season, check out the magnanimous gesture he made to the fans who caught No. 697.

The fans met with Pujols to give the ball back, but upon learning the occasion marked exactly one year since the woman's father passed away, Albert not only told them to keep the ball, he signed it and two more for them to keep. He said it would mean more to her than to him.

Pujols is baseball's gift this season that just keeps on giving.

Three more to go.
