Twins Outright Starter

He was designated for assignment on Friday.

Now, Aaron Sanchez has passed through waivers unclaimed and been sent outright to Triple-A St. Paul.
Sanchez has had yet another rough season, bouncing between the majors and the minor leagues, and being DFA'd a couple times.

In the majors this season, the thirty-year-old has posted an ugly 6.33 ERA, 1.54 WHIP, and 41 strikeouts over 58 innings. In 14 games, he's started 10 and posted a 3-4 record.

The minor leagues have been a little kinder to Sanchez this season, as he's registered a 3.75 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and 43 strikeouts across 62 innings there this season. He's started 13 games and posted a 4-2 record.

Hopefully, Aaron Sanchez can rediscover the pitcher he used to be and, maybe, get back to being that in the 2023 season and moving forward.
