Tigers Select Contract of Infielder Toiling in Minors for Seven Seasons

After seven seasons in the minors, he's finally getting the call to the highest level. 

The Detroit Tigers have selected the contract of infielder Josh Lester from Triple-A Toledo. 
Lester is a former 13th-round pick of the Tigers in the 2015 MLB Draft. 

In the minors this season, the twenty-eight-year-old has hit a solid .243/.305/.475, with 25 home runs, 82 RBIs, six stolen bases and 71 runs scored over 125 games.

For his minor league career, Lester is a .250/.316/.451 hitter, with 115 home runs, 425 RBIs, 14 stolen bases and 381 runs scored across 723 games. 

Here's to hoping Lester can enjoy success in the major leagues and earn a spot on the Tigers 2022 Opening Day roster.
