Texas Rangers Designate Pitcher For Assignment

The Dallas Keuchel era in Texas is over after just two starts, as the Texas Rangers have designated the veteran for assignment.

This is very difficult to see, as this is the third time this season that a team has moved on from Keuchel. He has spent time with the Chicago White Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Rangers this season, but, unfortunately, he struggled immensely with each team. When he signed with Texas, he was hoping to rebound into his previous form, but things got even worse.

During his two starts with the Rangers, Keuchel allowed a disastrous 14 runs in 10.0 innings pitched. This, naturally, has led the veteran to be DFAed, and it seems less likely that a team will give a call this time around.

Keuchel will be heading to the waiver wire, so let's see if he gets claimed. In 10 starts this season, the former Cy Young Award winner sports a 2-9 record and 9.20 ERA.
