Tampa Bay Rays Reinstate Infielder

Brandon Lowe is back for the Tampa Bay Rays, as he has been reinstated from the injured list.

This is great news for the Rays, as they need every boost they can get to catch up to the New York Yankees in the AL East standings. Due to the latter's horrible stretch of play, the Rays now only trail them by 5.0 games. That is certainly encouraging, as the Yankees once held a 15-game lead over them in late July.

Lowe has struggled a bit this season, as he has just eight home runs and a .231 batting average in 62 games. However, when noting that he also hit 39 home runs just last season, it's clear that he is capable of making a major impact when hot. Therefore, he is welcomed back with joy from Rays fans. Let's see what he can do from here.
