Pittsburgh Pirates Call Up 2 Players

The Pittsburgh Pirates have called up Hoy Park and Eric Stout to their major league roster.

Park has seen a decent amount of action in the majors this season with the Pirates, so he is certainly a familiar face. In 23 games on the year with Pittsburgh, he has two home runs, six RBIs, and a .216 batting average. Although he has not been dominant when called upon, he is a solid utility player to have, as he can play second base, third base, and the outfield.

As for Stout, he too has already gotten into MLB action earlier this season. In 17 games split between the Chicago Cubs and Pirates, he has a 0-0 record to go along with a 4.34 ERA. Overall, he has had some decent moments, but he will be aiming to lower his ERA during this call-up. It could be what keeps him around in Pittsburgh's bullpen from here.
