St. Louis Cardinals Call Up Outfielder

With Dylan Carlson being placed on the injured list, the St. Louis Cardinals had the opportunity to call up another player. As a result of this, Alec Burleson has now joined the major league squad.

This is certainly exciting news for Burleson, as it means that he is set to make his major league debut. This is very impressive when noting that he just began his minor league career last season. Since then, he has done nothing but thrive, and he only seems to be getting better.

In 109 games this season with Triple-A Memphis, he has 20 home runs, 87 RBIs, and a .331 batting average. With numbers like these, it is clear that he carries a nice blend of power and contact. Now, he will be aiming to translate that over to the majors in order to stick around from here.
