San Francisco Giants Claim Infielder Off Waivers

The San Francisco Giants have claimed Jose Rojas off of waivers from the Los Angeles Angels.

With this move, Rojas will be going from one California team to another. Rojas appeared in 22 games for the Angels this season, where he certainly had his fair share of struggles at the plate. In 56 at-bats, he had just seven hits, which equates to a .125 batting average. With that, he only recorded one RBI, so it ultimately wasn't enough for him to stay put. Now, he will hope to rebound as a Giant.

With the Giants dealing with injury trouble, there's no harm in them taking a look at Rojas. At worse, he can be a serviceable depth player, as he not only second base and third base, but he also can man the outfield. Perhaps this could be enough for him to keep a spot in the majors.
