San Diego Padres Designate Outfielder for Assignment

The San Diego Padres have made a change to their 40-man roster, as Luis Liberato has been designated for assignment.

Liberato was recently called up to the majors for the first time in his career with the Padres. This came after a decade of playing in the minors, so this was a huge deal for the outfielder. Yet, he, unfortunately, will now be heading to the waiver wire due to this recent development.

Liberato appeared in seven games with the Padres, where he went 0-for-5 at the plate with three strikeouts. It wasn't the best showing from him, but we will have to wait and see if another team decides to claim him off waivers from here.
