Rays Option Pitcher

It was a brief debut in the majors for him.

The Tampa Bay Rays have optioned pitcher Cristofer Ogando to Triple-A Durham. 

Ogando pitched 2.1 innings this past week against the Toronto Blue Jays, allowing three hits, one earned run and one walk while striking out one. 

In his major league debut this season, Ogando pitched 4.1 innings with a 4.15 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and two strikeouts.

In the minors this season, the twenty-eight-year-old has posted a 4.56 ERA, a 1.26 WHIP, and 53 strikeouts over 53.1 innings. He's made 41 relief appearances, converted three saves, and holds a 2-1 record.
