Rockies Call Up Starter from Double-A

The Colorado Rockies have recalled starter Noah Davis from Double-A Hartford.

It was unclear before whether the Rockies were going to use him as a starter or out of the bullpen, but Davis has been listed out of the bullpen ahead of Friday's game against the Chicago Cubs, so it would appear that's the answer for now.

The twenty-five-year-old has registered a pedestrian 5.54 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 152 strikeouts over 133 innings this season in the minors. He's made 26 starts and holds an 8-8 record.

Davis will be making his major league debut when he first gets into a game with the Rockies. He is a former 11th-round pick by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2018 MLB Draft.
