Phillies Outright Infielder

He was designated for assignment on Sunday and passed through waivers unclaimed.

Now, the Philadelphia Phillies have sent infielder Johan Camargo outright to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Camargo has hit an underwhelming .237 batting average and a .297 on-base percentage over 152 at-bats in the majors this season. He's hit three home runs, 15 RBIs and scored eight runs.

In the minors this season, the twenty-eight-year-old slashed an equally underwhelming .237/.332/.653, with two home runs, 26 RBIs and 22 runs scored over 156 at-bats.

He'll remain with the Phillies organization as extra infield depth.
