MLB Rumors: Red Sox Will Be "Aggressive" Going After Aaron Judge In Free Agency

As every New York Yankees fan is well aware, the team failed to secure a contract extension with Aaron Judge before opening day, meaning he becomes a free agent at the end of the season. And after his MVP-caliber year, the price has gone up—substantially.

There will be a number of rival teams trying to steal Judge from the Yankees, but according to one report, the absolute worst-case scenario for Yankee fans is a possibility.

Marino Pepen, Red Sox reporter, claims that the Boston Red Sox will not only go after Judge in free agency, but that "they will be aggressive trying to lock him in."

The Yankees' slugger imposed his own rule not to discuss free agency or extensions after opening day, so it's interesting that when asked about it, he didn't exactly give an outright denial that he'd join the hated BoSox.

"Ooh," Judge said. "We'll talk about that at the end of the year." He even tossed in some accolades about the the city and the team. "A lot of great history here and this is one of the best places to play."

Fasten your seatbelts, this could get very interesting.
