The Milwaukee Brewers will be down a player as they aim to secure a playoff spot, as Luis Perdomo has been placed on the 15-day injured list with a calf strain.

At the time of this writing, the Brewers are 1.5 games behind the Philadelphia Phillies for the final Wild Card spot in the NL. Thus, losing a solid reliever like Perdomo for the remainder of the season isn't ideal.

Perdomo has quietly had a good year with Milwaukee, and the truth is in his statistics. In 14 appearances, he has a 3-0 record to go along with a 3.80 ERA. Although he hasn't been completely dominant, it's fair to say that he has been pretty reliable for the most part. Thus, his absence isn't the best thing in the world for Milwaukee during this crucial stretch of the year.
