Dodgers Pitcher Hits the IL Again Less Than Two Weeks After Returning

Well, that was short-lived.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed pitcher Brusdar Graterol on the 15-day injured list with right elbow inflammation.

Graterol just returned less than two weeks ago from a lengthy absence for right shoulder inflammation, and it's unclear how long he'll be out for, or if he'll even be able to contribute the rest of the season. An MRI scan is scheduled to determine the severity of his injury.

The twenty-four-year-old has posted a solid 3.02 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and 39 strikeouts over 44 innings. He has a 2-3 record and has converted three saves on the season.

Phil Bickford has been recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move. He'll take Graterol's spot in the bullpen for now.
