Detroit Tigers Send 2 Players Down To Triple-A

The Detroit Tigers are switching up their roster, as Luis Castillo and Josh Lester have both been sent down to Triple-A Toledo.

Castillo was recently called up to the Tigers' major league roster, but he now is heading right back to Toledo. During his call-up to the Tigers, he appeared in three games and pitched 3.2 scoreless innings. Although he did everything that was asked of him when called upon, it was not enough for him to stick around in the majors. Now he will be aiming to impress in Toledo in hopes of landing another call-up before the season is over.

Lester, on the other hand, was also a recent call-up by the Tigers. In two games with the team, he went 0-for-5 at the plate, which included three strikeouts. Overall, it is clear that he struggled to adjust to major league pitching, but this should not be the last time we see Lester in the majors. Here's to hoping he can earn himself another call-up before 2022 is over.
