Detroit Tigers Activate Infielder

Jonathan Schoop is back for the Detroit Tigers, as the veteran infielder has been activated from the injured list.

Although the Tigers are well out of playoff contention, Schoop has still decided to return to the lineup before the season is over. In 115 games this campaign for Detroit, he has nine home runs, 34 RBIs, and a low .202 batting average. This is certainly not what the Tigers expected from him, as he just had a 22-home run campaign for them the season before.

Yet, with Schoop returning, he has the chance to end the year on a high note and help improve his underwhelming stats. We will have to wait and see if he can redeem himself now that he is healthy.
