Athletics Activate Outfielder from IL; Option Rookie

The Oakland Athletics are getting their outfielder back.

The Athletics have activated outfielder Ramon Laureano from the 10-day injured list.

Laureano was back in action on Tuesday night, batting second against the Atlanta Braves, where he went 1-for-4, with a single, an RBI, a walk and a run scored.
Laureano had missed the last three weeks due to a Grade 1 left oblique strain.

The twenty-eight-year-old has hit .224/.302/.393, with 12 home runs, 30 RBIs and 10 stolen bases over 85 games.

With Laureano returning, someone had to be removed from the active roster to free a spot up. Cal Stevenson was the odd man out, as the Athletics have optioned him to Triple-A Las Vegas.

The twenty-five-year-old has hit .167/.261/.217, with an RBI and one stolen base across 23 games in his taste of major league action.
