Angels Designate Outfielder for Assignment

The club needed to open a 40-man roster spot for Logan O'Hoppe, who is being promoted on Wednesday.

As a result, the Los Angeles Angels have designated outfielder Magneuris Sierra for assignment.
Sierra, who was once a top prospect with the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins, has batted a poor .165/.200/.242, with zero home runs, five RBIs, six stolen bases and seven runs scored over 91 at-bats in the majors this season.

The twenty-six-year-old slashed .297/.358/.795, with seven home runs, 45 RBIs, 22 stolen bases, and 49 runs scored across 279 at-bats in the minors this season.

It will be interesting to see if another team takes a chance on Sierra on the waiver wire.
