Angels Call Up Top-Ranked Prospect

The Los Angeles Angels are calling up their number-one ranked prospect to the majors.

The Angels have called up catcher Logan O'Hoppe.
O'Hoppe is actually already with the team after being added to the taxi squad on Tuesday night, and he will make his MLB debut at catcher Wednesday versus the Oakland Athletics.

The twenty-two-year-old has slashed an impressive .283/.416/.544, with 26 home runs, 78 RBIs, seven stolen bases and 72 runs scored over 104 games split between the Double-A affiliates of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Angels.

O'Hoppe was acquired from the Phillies at the trade deadline for outfielder Brandon Marsh. He looks to be the catcher of the future for the Angels.
He is the Angels' top-ranked prospect and the 65th-ranked prospect in all of baseball.
