Washington Nationals Claim Outfielder Off Waivers

Alex Call is heading to the Washington Nationals, as they have claimed him off waivers from the Cleveland Guardians.

Call was recently designated for assignment by the Guardians, but he will now have the chance to play with the Nationals from here. With Cleveland this season, Call appeared in his first 12 major league games, where he had two hits in 12 at-bats.

With the Nationals, Call will be hoping for more chances to play. There's a good chance that he will at least get some reps in DC before the year is out, as there is an outfield spot available after the Juan Soto blockbuster.
