Twins Recall Pitcher

The Minnesota Twins are adding some bullpen depth to their active roster.

The team has recalled pitcher Jovani Moran from Triple-A St. Paul.
Moran has actually been very good in the time he's spent with the Twins this season, throwing a sparkling 1.93 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 31 strikeouts over 23 innings. However, the 15 walks in 23 innings is a bit worrisome and could get him into trouble in tight games. He'll likely be used in the middle innings.

Funny enough, Moran has actually been better at the major league level than the minor league level this season. Much better.

In 24 innings pitched in the minors this season, the twenty-five-year-old has an ugly 6.00 ERA, 1.63 WHIP, but a strong 43 strikeouts. Maybe, he can find success again at the major league level.
