San Diego Padres Sign Pitcher

The San Diego Padres have signed Brandon Kintzler to a minor league contract. 

Kintzler is a grizzled veteran who appeared in 12 straight seasons before this one. In 483 career games split between the Milwaukee Brewers, Minnesota Twins, Washington Nationals, Chicago Cubs, Miami Marlins, and Philadelphia Phillies, he has a 24-24 record and 3.50 ERA. With that, he also was an All-Star in 2017.

There's no harm in the Padres taking a chance on Kintzler. He could provide them with another solid bullpen option if he impresses in the minors from here.
