Red Sox Outfielder Returning Tuesday

He's been sidelined since early June but is finally ready to return.
Kike Hernandez is expected to come off the injured list for Tuesday's series opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Boston Red Sox sent outfielder Jaylin Davis down to Triple-A Worcester on Monday, opening up a roster spot for Hernandez.

Hernandez has been out since early June with a right hip flexor strain.

The thirty-year-old has hit a disappointing .209/.273/.340, with four home runs, 24 RBIs and 27 runs scored across 51 games this season.

The Red Sox currently have a 57-59 record on the season, putting them five games back of the Toronto Blue Jays for the third AL Wild Card spot.
