Rangers Activate Closer

In the midst of all the chaos surrounding the Texas Rangers organization on Wednesday, the team got their closer back.

Pitcher Joe Barlow has been activated from the 10-day injured list.
The twenty-six-year-old has been out since mid-July due to a blister on his right index finger. He returns to a strong 3.16 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 31 strikeouts over 24 innings. He's converted 13 of 17 save opportunities on the season.

Barlow worked a scoreless inning in Wednesday's game against the Oakland Athletics, however, he allowed one hit, one walk and hit one batter.
