Angels Option Outfielder

It's been a very eventful season for him.

The Los Angeles Angels have optioned outfielder Steven Duggar to Triple-A Salt Lake.

While not official, this is likely the move the Angels are making to free up a roster spot for the return of Mike Trout on Friday.

Duggar played in nine games during his stint with the Angels, going an atrocious 1-for-19 (.053), to go along with 13 strikeouts.

Duggar started the season with the Texas Rangers but was traded, on June 23rd, to the San Francisco Giants for Willie Calhoun. The Rangers then put him on waivers some time later, only for Duggar to be scooped up the Angels on August 7th.

He'll head down to Triple-A and attempt to get back on track.
