Orioles Calling Up No. 1 Ranked-Prospect

The Baltimore Orioles are calling up their number-one ranked prospect.

Roch Kubatko of MASN reports that infielder Gunnar Henderson is headed to Cleveland to join the Orioles' taxi squad.

This is likely in anticipation of an official call-up for Henderson to the majors on Thursday when the MLB rosters expand to 28 players.
Henderson is very much deserving of a promotion to the majors, as he has dominated the minor leagues this season. The twenty-one-year-old has slashed a remarkable .297/.416/.531, with 19 home runs, 76 RBI and 22 stolen bases over 112 games.

Henderson was the steal of the 2019 Draft, where the Orioles selected him in the 2nd-round (42nd overall). He has quickly risen through the ranks of the minor leagues and is now the number-two ranked prospect in all of baseball.
